CARE GUIDE

When you purchase from us, we want you to get the absolute most out of your pieces, afterall, that is what conscious fashion is all about. It is so important that you look after your clothes so that they last as long as possible. This means you not only get your moneys worth, but you are also helping to stop the cyle of fast fashion.

Wear what you have and look after what you wear.

How to look after your crochet:

  • Your crochet pieces only like to be hand washed or gentle machine washed in cool water in a wash bag (make sure they are in a wash bag if you are using a washing machine, especially with other clothing!!)

  • They do not like to be wrung dry, lay them flat in the shade instead

  • Even better, gently pat them dry flat in a towel first to get out most of the moisture and then allow to air dry

  • And never, ever put crochet away before it is dry (this can cause it to turn yucky!)

How to hand wash your pieces:

To hand wash your crochet pieces, fill a sink with cold water, adding a small amount of organic, gentle detergant. Allow your piece to sit in the water for 5-10 minutes, then gently rub or wring out any stains or dirt. To dry, wring out all excess water, wrap in a towel and squeeze, then lay flat and allow to sit in the shade until completely dry.

How to store your crochet:

Store all of your crochet pieces (tops, sweaters, dresses etc.) folded up in a dry place. You do not want to hang your pieces on hangers as this can stretch out the material (ie. stretch the shoulders of your sweater). Make sure your pieces also stay dry as water that is allowed to sit can cause mold and damage to your garments.
